Our Story

Parivartansheel Sanstha (PSS) was founded based on the premise ‘Charity begins at Home’. What started off as a small voluntary community initiative under the guidance of our founder Mr. Panjabrao Gawai, has grown into a structured organisation that has helped in empowering the local communities. Officially founded in 2009, we have carved a niche with our volunteer-based activities and take pride in our identity as a hyper local NGO. Our work has primarily centered around communities living in Kandivali and Malad suburbs of Mumbai. Since inception, the Sanstha has steadily worked towards resolving civil, health, educational and economic issues of the weaker sections of society and tried to make them more inclusive.

Over the last decade, it has been our constant endeavour to empower local communities by improving their socio-economic conditions through education and awareness. Our areas of focus include vocational guidance for youth, sensitization of youth towards civic issues, women empowerment, health, and improving implementation of government initiated economic development schemes.

We are registered under the Society Registration Act 1860 and Bombay Public Charitable Trust act 1950.
