The Covid-19 pandemic and strict lockdows imposed in 2020 impacted migrant workers and marginalised sections of the community the most. During the peak of this crisis we managed to reach out and provide basic essentials to daily wage workers in Kandivali. The trust has been providing basic necessity kits containing monthly rations and personal hygiene items to families that have been worst hit financially. Till date, we have been able to supply these kits to over 500 families in and around Kandivali.
As the number of Covid cases in Mumbai rose at an alarming rate, we diverted our efforts towards providing PPEs to our health care workers and doctors. We have been in continuous contact with doctors who are presently working in government hospitals and even the BMC officials to step in and bridge the demand -supply gap. We have sourced and provided hundreds of PPE kits to frontline warriors amidst this ongoing crisis.
